A web widget is an independent application that you can include on your website. You can use a web widget to enable your customers (including visitors) to chat with an agent, access Knowledge Base (KB) articles, or submit a ticket.

If there is an existing web widget, you can deploy the same widget on your website by copying the code associated with the widget to your website. To copy the code:

  1. On the Configure tab, click Web Widget > Widget.
    The Web Widget window appears.
  2. Select the widget you want to copy and hover over it.
The Snippet Code option appears on the widget.
  3. Click the Snippet Code option.
The Code Script window appears. This window displays the code associated with the widget.
  4. Click Copy.
The code is copied. Paste this code into the HTML source code of your website.
    Delete

    Warning

Any change or update made to the widget (in the Web Widget window) is automatically applied to your website.

Delete

Info

If the web widget snippet is on every page of your website, the widget is transitioned from one page to another. Your customers can continue chatting with agents as they navigate to other pages on your website where the widget is deployed.
